On The Couch
Lorraine Bracco era uma atriz que nos anos 80 chamava minha atenção (Perigo Na Noite) e no começo dos anos 90 parecia que ia virar estrela (Os Bons Companheiros, O Curandeiro Da Selva) só que muitas coisas aconteceram e ela nunca chegou a tanto. Tinha o fato de que ela começou a despontar com um pouco mais de idade do que a média (em Os Bons Companheiros ela já tinha 36 anos) e ainda que poucos filmes exploraram sua sensualidade (em pouco tempo ela já era solicitada para papéis de mães acabadas). Até que surgiu The Sopranos na vida dela e tudo mudou. Jennifer Melfi além de ser um ótimo personagem conseguiu trazer de volta um charme pouco utilizado, uma latente sexualidade que até mexe com os brios de Tony Soprano. E ela nunca esteve tão bonita como na série. Até no começo da quinta temporada ela aparece parcialmente nua e para seus 52 anos está maravilhosa. Falando nisso o seriado tem esse poder de conferir sensualidade em atrizes fora dos padrões joviais de beleza, como é o caso de Edie Falco.
Legal então ver sair uma autobiografia e ela revelar os vários problemas que enfrentou. É uma forma de fazer um grande balanço de sua carreira e vida.
Fiquei com vontade de ler. A versão paperback mais barata sai em Maio deste ano. E ouvir o audio book do livro? Ela narrando o próprio livro com aquela voz rouca e sexy deve ser uma coisa de maluco. Aqui é muito difícil que saia uma tradução...
